Experience a celebration of African cultural heritage through African female artists who will enchant the Toronto audience with music, dance, theater, film, visual arts, workshops, & a seminar on attitudes and expectations of African female artists in Canada.

Featuring African women artist Icons of the Year Thembi Nyandeni & Todd Twala, Creators and produces of UMOJA, and performances by Sonia Aimy Oduwa, Fatouma Nakruma, Marci T House, Evelyn Mukewedeya, Virgillia Ashton, Justin Gougoua, Fummi Olmumade, Tsingory Dance and Music of Madagascar & more top African female artists and performers. 

There will also be a multitude of vendors displaying Africa arts, crafts, textiles food and more.

AWA African Dance Workshop

African Women Acting (AWA) presents  African Dance Workshop for dancers and choreographers led by Todd Twala and Thembi Nyandeni (producers and creators of the South African world acclaimed musical “UMOJA”) inside COBA dance studios. 


June 10,11, & 12 - 10:00AM to 3:00PM

Dance styles include: ZULU dance - SOTHO dance - XHOSA dance - SHANGAAN dance - KOFIFI SA JAZZ dance

Cost: $250 for full session of 3 days or $85 per day

Participants: Maximum of  30 peeople
