Spotlight: A Benefit for Fife House

A 15th Anniversary Celebration of RENT in Toronto. Alumni from the original Toronto production, including Chad Richardson and Cary Shields, Gavin Hope, Jenifer Aubry and Dominique Roy - will be joined by supporting cast members from the 2012 Theatre Sheridan production. Together they will provide a poignant and reflective performance of songs from RENT.

Produced by Michael Rubinoff, musical direction by Bob Foster.

Since RENT depicts the struggles of coping with day-to-day life while living with HIV/AIDS and Fife House provides housing for men, women and families living with HIV/AIDS - this evening promises to be deeply fitting to the work Fife House does for their clients.

Spotlight 2013

Mamma Mia! Here we go again! Louise Pitre reprises her Tony nominated role in an in-concert performance of Mamma Mia! to benefit Fife House.

BMO Financial Group presents Spotlight: the 13th annual performance-based fundraising event in support of Fife House, the largest provider of supportive housing services to people living with HIV/AIDS in Canada.

The production will feature a selection of ABBA's timeless songs, as performed in the smash hit musical and blockbuster feature film adaptation.

Spotlight is thrilled to welcome original Toronto cast members Louise Pitre (Donna Sheridan) and Adam Brazier (Sky); and original Broadway cast member, David Keeley (Sam).

Producer Michael Rubinoff (Theatre Sheridan) returns to follow up last year’s successful RENT celebration, along with  Musical Director Bob Foster (Mirvish productions of Hairspray, We Will Rock You, and Dirty Dancing). The evening promises to be a stellar celebration of the ultimate feel-good show.

This is arguably the role Pitre is most known for, and earned her a 2002 Tony Award nomination in the category Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical. In the same year the production was nominated for Best Musical.
