Taste for Change: Harmony Awards

Taste for Change: Harmony Awards is an exciting evening of food, drinks, performances by Beyond Sound Empijah (drum collective) and Mustafa Ahmed (spoken word artists) and awards celebrating the achievements of local social change leaders.

At this year’s awards ceremony, we pay tribute to Harmony Award winner Munira Abukar. In 2011, The Toronto Star described Ms. Abukar as “part of the new wave of ultra-young voices popping up across the country’s political and public service scene.” Munira’s exemplary achievements epitomize Harmony Movement's mission of “Educating Youth to be Leaders for Social Change”.

We will also pay tribute to Dr. Chris Spence, Director of Education at the Toronto District School Board, with our Leadership in Education Award, to Paris District High School with our School of the Year award, and the June Callwood Harmony Scholarship recipients from across Canada.

Come join us for a great evening! Attend. Support. Celebrate.
