NGGAALI LOVE RAISING Valentine's Party 2013

Torontonians can make Valentine’s Day a global love affair this year. The Nggaali Project, a program initiated by Canadian composer Cynthia Long to nourish the Ugandan child through the healing power of music, the arts and technology, is hosting a Valentine’s Day cabaret party for couples, singles and families.

The evening will feature a full buffet dinner, a powerful line-up of music and dance performances and children’s activities run by Nggaali Kids Canada, a program launched by photographer Maylynn Quan, fostering artistic and entrepreneurial exchange between children in Uganda and Canada. Artists performing include: Muhtadi Thomas, Amadou Kienou, COBA, Amai Kuda, Sani Ijovudu Dance, the Inner Truth Taiko Dojo Drummers, Changu Changezi, Little Pear Garden Collective, Karusia Wroblewski, Cynthia Long and Chris Gartner, Michael Moon, First Nations performers, the Nggaali Kids themselves onscreen, and more.
