The Canadian Opera Company presents GrimmFest: Family Performances of The Brothers Grimm!

Join Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm as they set out to create the most famous book of fairy tales ever written. Their journey to discovery uncovers such colourful characters such as Rapunzel, Little Red Cap and Rumpelstiltskin in this delightful one-act opera for children.

The opera is 45 minutes in length, sung in English and concludes with a post-performance Q&A with the cast!

The Brothers Grimm 500th Performance Party

The Canadian Opera Company invites you to come and celebrate the 500th performance of Burry’s The Brothers Grimm, the most-performed Canadian opera in history, with the composer present! The celebration will include light refreshments and activities for the whole family, including an exhibition chronicling the opera’s travels throughout Canada and abroad, with posters and artifacts from the COC’s archives.

The party is followed by a performance of The Brothers Grimm in the Ada Slaight Hall at 7:30pm.
