Education On The Inside
March 28, 2013 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
Join the Amadeusz Look At My Life Project for a discussion focusing on policy issues and access to education for young people being held in remand. While few people would deny anyone the right to education, those who are remanded to custody face a situation where there is a significant lack of services and opportunities for young people to access formal education.
The Look At My Life project offers a unique education program providing young people remanded to custody with opportunities to increase their educational achievement levels so they are better prepared to create positive change within their own lives.
Please join the project as they share their best practices and research while exploring this issue of access to education with panelists and guest speakers. Through this dialogue they hope to influence public policy and better the lives of young people in detention.
