TRIGGERS: You Will Never See Your City the Same Again Opening Reception
November 12, 2015 @ 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
FREE
Triggers is a provocative photo exhibit powered by FYOU: The Forgiveness Project. The ground breaking showcase tells stories of pain, forgiveness, strength and resiliency through capturing the rock bottom of one’s life. All twenty subjects are in the room for the launch to tell you first hand how they survived and worked to thrive, surpassing any expectation they had for themselves. Topics addressed include abuse, racism, murder, rape, loss and suicide as well as the power of forgiveness. Recently presented in LA and co-signed by hip-hop personality Amber Rose, the Triggers exhibit at Daniels Spectrum will feature content from both accolades.
The free opening reception for the exhibition will be held at Daniels Spectrum on Thursday, November 12 from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. The exhibitions is open to the public daily (Mon–Fri 8 am – 9pm, Sat–Sun 10am – 6pm) until December 23 in our Hallway Galleries.
FYOU is focused on asking the question, what does forgiveness mean to you? They have had over 100 events, published three books and created a platform for hundreds of Torontonians to tell their story. Participating photographers: Brian Gregory and YNTK.
