Rivers of Hope Islamophobia Toolkit Launch

The Rivers of Hope Toolkit was created by and for Muslim women survivors of Islamophobic violence. It contains research, real-life-stories, resources for survivors, and poetry by Muslim women.

The Toolkit is based on a research project conducted by Sidrah Ahmad, who interviewed 21 Muslim women survivors of Islamophobic violence from across the GTA.

The Community Launch of the Rivers of Hope Toolkit will be a celebration. It will feature…

  • Poetry performances by Naeema Hassan, Rowda Mohamud, Hanan Hazime, and Timaj Garad
  • A panel discussion on Gendered Islamophobia with Hodan Ahmed Mohamed, Aima Warriach and Farheen Khan
  • Free Toolkits and other resources for everyone who attends
  • A chance to come together and connect as a community
