YOU Dance

For the first time The National Ballet of Canada will bring YOU dance to Regent Park with a week-long residency including workshops at local schools and performances at Daniels Spectrum April 25- 29, 2016.
The week-long residency will include four interrelated activities. Students and teachers in Grades 3 to 8 at Nelson Mandela Park Public School and Lord Dufferin Junior and Senior Public Schools will participate in movement workshops. The workshops will be followed by four afternoon YOU dance performances for the students at Daniels Spectrum.
Leading up to the week-long residency, students in Grade 8 will both create and perform in their own work, under the guidance of a dance educator.
On April 28 there will be a free evening performance of YOU dance and the pieces created by students for their families and neighbours of Regent Park.
