Youth in Motion

A truly inspiring group of immigrant, refugee and newcomer youth from across Canada have come together to host a youth-led social event that will contribute to developing skills, strengthening networks and promoting access and inclusion for newcomer youth from Toronto and across Canada.

Presented in collaboration with Regent Park Focus’s “The Jam”, the event will be part of the Canadian Council for Refugees’ Fall Consultation and will be attended by refugees, immigrants, representatives of community organizations, government, UNHCR, academics, youth advocates and international guests. The event will provide a venue for youth from diverse communities to celebrate their resilience, showcase their talents, and raise awareness around important issues.

The Canadian Council for Refugees is a non-profit umbrella organization committed to the rights and protection of refugees in Canada and around the world and to the settlement of refugees and immigrants in Canada.  The membership is made up of organizations involved in the settlement, sponsorship and protection of refugees and immigrants.  The Council serves the networking, information-exchange and advocacy needs of its membership
